Pragal
PLAN YOUR TRIP

Located in the parish of Pragal, with Garcia de Orta Hospital, Almada Forum Shopping Center, the New University of Lisbon, the Piaget and Egas Moniz Institutes nearby, Pragal station quickly became a busy hub.

Fertagus, which manages this station, took great care to provide its passengers with an ample shopping area, outdoor and underground parking facilities, as well as links to Carris Metropolitana and the Sul do Tejo Metro.

Here you can also find the Fertagus Customer Service Office created to help clarify and advise on all issues related to services that Fertagus provides. The company's institutional headquarters are also located at this station.

The architect responsible for designing the stations from Pragal to Fogueteiro was the architect. Motta Guedes. In all stations there was great effort to create harmony between architecture and art.  Pragal station for example, features a set of tile panels; the first, located at the main entrance to the station, inspired by the book “Peregrinação” by Fernão Mendes Pinto (chronicler who lived and compiled this work while living in Pragal) was created by artists Bartholomew Cid dos Santos and José Santa Barbara (whose panels are located on the platform and outside the station). You can also enjoy sculptures by Francisco Simões, which are exhibited at the main entrance to the station. Outside the station, on José Saramago Square you can enjoy a sculpture by Charters de Almeida.

Bring your bike and place it on the racks available outside the station.
