Free Water´s Aqueduct
It was built during the reign of D.João V with origin at the source of "Águas Livres" (Sintra) and was gradually strengthened and expanded throughout the nineteenth century. It is a complex system of collection, supply and distribution of water to the city of Lisbon that has the most emblematic work the stone arches that towers over the Alcântara´s valley. Begins on Old Mother Water and ends at the Amoreira´s Mother´s Water Reservoir. It is open from 10a.m. to 6p.m. (monday to saturday).
