Fogueteiro station served as the Fertagus train terminal for five years.
It was here that train services began and ended. In 2004, Fertagus expanded its
network with Fogueteiro station no longer serving as a terminal. The station
however, retains its importance and is still a favorite with customers.
Presently, the station remains a busy hub with heavy passenger traffic,
not only due to its history but also because of its proximity to the A2 motorway
exit, its shopping areas, Underground and Outdoor Parking and complementary
transportation links available at this station.
Rio Sul Shopping Center is a mere two minute walk from Fogueteiro train
station, making commuting by train one of the best ways to get to the mall.
This station was also designed by architect Motta Guedes and besides its
eye-catching architectural lines you can also enjoy Graça Morais’ and Chárteres
de Almeida’s artworks.
Bring your bike and place it on the racks available outside the station.
